Hands-on Molecular Mechanobiology Bootcamp
The goal of this bootcamp is for researchers from different backgrounds (biological sciences to biophysics and mechanobiology) to gain an understanding and appreciation for molecular mechanobiology such that they have the background, protocols, and skills needed to implement the technology in their research labs. This workshop will be a 1-week long event and will include a full schedule of didactic and hands-on educational activities (see Table below). The workshop will be open for 15 researchers (graduate students, postdocs, PIs) annually. This will include a combination of students from DPB labs as well as those that are not formally part of the CPMM. Those workshop attendees that are not in DBP labs will be encouraged to apply as future DBPs. This offers a mechanism for seeding new DBPs and ensuring the sustainability of the center.
The training workshop will be held on the campus of Emory University during the summer. Although the cost structure has not been decided yet, we anticipate that the CPMM and Emory University will cover some parts of the cost.
