Khalid Salaita, PhD
Director
TDP#2 Lead

Khalid Salaita is a Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Chemistry at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). He investigates the interface between living systems and engineered nanoscale materials. To achieve this goal, his group has pioneered the development of molecular force sensors, DNA mechanotechnology, smart therapeutics, and nanoscale mechanical actuators to manipulate living cells.

Alexa L. Mattheyses, PhD
Associate Director
TDP#1 Lead

Alexa L. Mattheyses is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cell Developmental and Integrative Biology and Director of the High Resolution Imaging Facility at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She investigates the dynamics, architecture, and function of macromolecular complexes in cellular communication and adhesion. To achieve this goal, her group pioneers the development and application of novel fluorescence microscopy techniques to probe protein orientation, localization, dynamics, and mechanics.

Yonggang Ke, PhD
Associate Director
TDP#3 Lead

Yonggang Ke is an Associate Professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Emory University and Georgia Institute of Technology. His lab uses DNA nanotechnology to create novel nanomaterials and nanoscale molecular machines for a variety of applications, including smart drug delivery, highly sensitive biomolecular nanosensors, and DNA-based probes for single-molecule biological studies.
